Hennadii Khazan, President of the Ukrainian Aviation Association of Pilots and Aircraft Owners AOPA Ukraine, told Espreso TV."Any loss of a combat unit like the Su-34 is a very painful loss for the Russians. Each loss of such an aircraft is felt significantly. Especially when two aircraft are completely destroyed and two are seriously damaged. Such aircraft can only be repaired at a factory. Therefore, such losses are very painful for them," explained Khazan. The expert emphasized that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has suffered losses of Su-34 aircraft. As a result, the fleet of these fighters has significantly decreased."The Russians do not have thousands of such aircraft. According to various estimates, the Russians had up to 100 Su-34s, and now they have fewer. They are losing these aircraft at the front and at airfields. These are good indicators and news for our country. Because the Russians will have fewer means to attack along the entire front line," he added. The Ukrainian Security Service and the Special Operations Forces successfully destroyed two Russian Su-34 fighter jets and damaged two more in Russia’s Volgograd region.
