It’s either us or them, and we saw that clearly on October 7. Some people in Israel had warned about this. But others insisted everything would be fine, that Hamas was calm, things were stable, they just wanted more workers from Gaza allowed into Israel. We still have 50 of our hostages there,” he said.Feldman added that Israel’s demand is straightforward: return the hostages, hand over the weapons, and the war ends immediately.“But from Hamas’s side, that’s impossible, they want to keep their control and power in Gaza. I don’t see any room for compromise right now. Maybe there’ll be a pause, say, they return half the hostages and Israel halts its military operations for two months. But Hamas will use that time to rebuild influence, restore power, and rearm.
