This was stated on Espreso TV by Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for Ukraine's Khortytsia troop grouping."In some areas, Russian forces outnumber us, which makes sense, since the enemy had prepared for a summer offensive. The main directions of this campaign are Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka. The enemy has concentrated a large number of troops here, over 100,000, and they’ve now moved closer to the front line. It’s important to understand that the Donetsk agglomeration is a major base for them. For example, during the winter campaign around Pokrovsk, they tried to press west of the city, but now they’ve spread out and are attacking both through Novopavlivka toward the Dnipropetrovsk region, and via the Pokrovsk–Kostiantynivka highway on the eastern flank of the Pokrovsk sector," he said.According to him, in the Novopavlivka direction, the map shows a lot of long lines, “tentacles-feelers”, where Russia is pushing along roads to local settlements. There are many fields and few towns here, so Russian troops are trying to reach these settlements to move further toward the Dnipropetrovsk region."On the map, in the eastern part of the Pokrovsk area, there’s a large bulge, that’s where the Russians are trying to push toward Kostiantynivka. As for the Toretsk and Kramatorsk sectors, Russian troops have been fighting there for a year with no success. Right now, the most tense sectors are Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka. In the Lyman area, the pressure is steady, the front line hasn’t shifted. In our sector, the invaders are clearly still trying, I wouldn’t say the enemy’s summer campaign is over yet," Trehubov summed up.The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that on June 29, there were 137 combat clashes along the Russian-Ukrainian front. The Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 37 Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk area and 20 in the Lyman direction.
