Mykola Malomuzh, Ukrainian Army General and Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (2005-2010), shared his opinions with Espreso TV."As for the production of weapons and ammunition in Europe, this issue requires systematic work. And Ukraine should be the trigger for this. We have to force Europeans to take action. For three years now, we have been silent and asking for military assistance. This is not working. Yes, we have been receiving partial assistance. Weapons are not produced in Europe systematically and globally. This is not the case today. I personally communicate with Europeans and tell them that Russia will not stop in Ukraine, it is preparing aggression in Europe. Therefore, in addition to working to strengthen Ukraine's capabilities, Europeans should also prepare all their reserves," Malomuzh explained. The general emphasized that Russian leader Putin understands only force, and he simply does not respond to words and appeals."Europeans should already be preparing for countermeasures against Russia. These will be real steps, not just words. Knowing Putin, he responds only to force, he simply does not pay attention to anything else," he added. On July 6, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the Alliance currently does not have a sufficient production base to meet the needs for modern weapons necessary to effectively deter aggressor countries.
