Hennadii Khazan, president of the Ukrainian Aviation Association of Pilots and Aircraft Owners AOPA Ukraine, said this on Espreso TV."I would like to remind you of the situation that took place a few months ago, when specialists from the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine, people from mobile groups, were sent to the infantry as if they were no longer needed. There was an order to optimize the number of specialists in the Air Defense Forces of Ukraine. With this step, you can harm yourself. Such steps will have consequences. Now these consequences are obvious. A large number of specialists who had good results in shooting down enemy targets were transferred to the infantry. When the Russians increased and scaled up the number of terrorist attacks, it turned out that we needed more specialists for mobile groups, because they proved to be effective. Again, money for nothing. We need some kind of money so that the state can make moderately balanced decisions," Khazan said.According to the expert, some decisions of the military and political leadership harm the state."Non-cadre officers do not chase positions and do everything well. But certain military personnel have to grow and bend to certain things in order not to ruin their careers. That's why we have consequences in terms of countering Russian attacks. This is frankly harmful to us as a state," he added. On the night of Saturday, July 12, the Russian forces launched 623 air attack aircraft to strike Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenders managed to neutralize 344 Russian targets.
