This was said on Espreso TV by Ukrainian Army General and former head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service (2005–2010) Mykola Malomuzh."Intelligence has a full picture of the situation and knows all enemy plans, both strategic and tactical, as well as the movements of Russian troops along the front. This is the constant, difficult work of technical, satellite, human, radio-electronic, and drone intelligence. All of it gives us complete data on enemy plans. We remember that by the end of May, Russia already had plans. All global intelligence agencies were saying a summer offensive was coming," the general said.According to him, the offensive began with attacks on the Sumy region. Russia also planned to fully seize Donbas, and launch offensives on the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions. But none of that happened, Ukrainian counterattacks pushed back Russian forces in Sumy, no buffer zones were created, and the offensive on Zaporizhzhia failed too. Russia’s attempts to capture Donetsk, first Kostiantynivka, then to push further, also went nowhere."Even the tactical goals Russia set for itself this summer haven’t been achieved, and it’s already been a month and a half since the offensive began. There are some minor moves in villages, but we are counterattacking not just in Sumy region, but also in Kharkiv region, Pokrovsk–Udachne direction, and Zaporizhzhia region. We're not standing still, we’re hitting their weak spots. It's tough, because the enemy still has some advantages, but they’re not carrying out even a tactical-level offensive. That’s why we say Russia lacks the resources to launch strategic offensives in any direction," Malomuzh summed up.On July 13, there were 212 combat clashes along the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 74 enemy attacks.
