In an interview with European Pravda, Stefanishyna outlined Kyiv’s priorities in the accession process, stressing that the timeline agreed upon before her departure from office on July 17 is still in place."The plan is to open all negotiation clusters in 2025 and to complete the legislative alignment with EU law by the end of 2027," she said. "Even now, all the commitments we’ve made as part of the negotiation process — without transitional periods — are bound by the 2027 deadline. That gives us 2025–26 to develop the necessary policies, and 2026–27 to adopt them."Stefanishyna also noted that a detailed adaptation program is currently being prepared to reflect this timeline.“We’ve launched a major EU-backed initiative, Ukraine2EU, which supports this effort. There are experts, a methodology, and early results. Once the European Commission releases its reports on each negotiation cluster, we’ll be able to approve parts of the program accordingly,” she added.According to Stefanishyna, there are no grounds to assume Ukraine's goals will be revised or scaled down. She also confirmed that the opening of the first negotiation cluster was planned for July 18.From a technical standpoint, all negotiation clusters for Ukraine’s accession to the European Union could be opened as early as 2025. The bloc believes that Kyiv has done its “homework” on the path to membership.
