RBC-Ukraine reported the information, citing Captain Artem Sholudko, an officer with the Ukrainian Spartan brigade, who provided detailed insight into Russia’s evolving approach.According to Captain Sholudko, the Russian military is continuously adapting its tactics to the challenging battlefield conditions, attempting to minimize losses inflicted by Ukrainian defenses. "The Russians have been changing their tactics for several days now," he said. "They’re using more of a mixed approach — either on foot, motorbikes, or with regular vehicles. Cases where they use armored vehicles have become much rarer, even statistically."Russian forces are putting special emphasis on using motorized vehicles such as motorcycles and quad bikes to quickly deploy assault groups. However, this tactic comes with vulnerabilities. Due to the exposed nature of these vehicles, Russian personnel losses remain significant.Captain Sholudko also praised the effectiveness of Ukrainian reconnaissance efforts, particularly those under the Spartan brigade’s responsibility. "We track enemy infantry almost from the same spot where they had previously gathered," he explained. "In other words, we use long-range reconnaissance to monitor them. We try to avoid situations where our own infantry is the first to report enemy presence in front of our positions. Because it's a surprise and we no longer work that way. The enemy is identified in advance, and then a decision is made on how exactly to eliminate them and what their fate will be."The occupying Russian army is most active on the Pokrovsk axis, with over 40% of its total combat activity currently concentrated in this sector of the frontline.
