Usyk held the WBO (World Boxing Organization), WBA (World Boxing Association), and WBC (World Boxing Council) belts. Dubois held the IBF (International Boxing Federation) title.The day before the fight, the official weigh-in took place. Usyk came in at a personal record of 103.1 kg. Dubois tried to trap Usyk in the corner, but took a counterpunch and went down. Usyk went in to finish him, landed a strong left to the jaw, and sent Dubois to the canvas for the second time. In August 2023, Usyk knocked out Dubois in the ninth round. Dubois claimed he should have been awarded victory in the fifth, when Usyk was knocked down by a low blow and took over three minutes to recover.38-year-old Oleksandr Usyk was fighting for the undisputed heavyweight title for the second time. In May last year, he beat Tyson Fury on points and became the first boxer since 1999 to hold all the heavyweight belts. But soon after, he vacated the IBF title and lost the undisputed status. In a rematch with Fury in December 2024, Usyk defended his remaining three titles. He was also the undisputed champion in the cruiserweight division (up to 90.7 kg).27-year-old Dubois won his last fight in September with a fifth-round knockout of fellow Briton Anthony Joshua.
