Babel, NV, and Liga.net reported the information, citing sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate. The special operation to gain full access to the servers containing all documents of the Crimean occupation authorities lasted several days.According to sources, the DDoS attack effectively paralyzed the peninsula’s information systems and network infrastructure. While the occupiers were investigating the cause of the failure, cyber specialists penetrated electronic offices and gained access to digital resources, including:the electronic document management system DIALOG;the electronic document management systems SED and Delo;accounting systems 1C:Document Management, Directum, and ATLAS.Over two days, 100 terabytes of data were downloaded, including classified materials about military facilities and Russian troop supply routes on the peninsula. Hackers copied the necessary information and then destroyed all data on the servers of regional and district government offices, ministries, and departments of the Crimean occupation authorities.“So much data was downloaded that soon we will learn many revelations about the activities and crimes of Russian occupiers in Ukrainian Crimea. We ‘thank’ Anton Lyaskovsky, Deputy Minister of Health of the Crimean occupation government, for enabling this special operation,” a source in the Main Intelligence Directorate added. On July 17, the Cyber Corps of the Main Intelligence Directorate struck the network infrastructure of PJSC Gazprom, which is directly involved in supporting Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
