Polska Agencja Prasowa reported the information.During a meeting with citizens in the city of Pabianice (Łódź Voivodeship), Tusk called on Poland and all of Europe to be prepared for possible threats in the next two years. He noted that every day, and "recently even every hour brings some kind of surprise, or some event, or unexpected words, not to mention unexpected meetings or visits to various places."“We are living in such a historic moment when seriousness, the utmost responsibility for Poland, for what is happening in the country and around the country, is an absolutely undeniable necessity,” Tusk emphasized.Tusk said that he recently had a conversation with the Supreme Commander of NATO forces in Europe, General Alex Grinkevich.“I expected precise information and I received it, namely, that according to all assessments in NATO and the U.S., Russia and China will be ready for confrontation on a global scale as early as 2027, in two years,” the Prime Minister stressed, adding that “Poland and Europe, but Poland first and foremost, must be ready for various events in the next two years.”According to him, there are already threats of hybrid aggression on the Polish border, which indicates that Russia “is preparing for this 2027.”“When I hear far-right activists, for example, on the Polish-German border—not only Bonkiewicz or representatives of the Confederation—when I also hear statements from certain politicians, including from the main opposition party, and sometimes even words from the newly elected president, there is a tone in these statements that should cause serious concern for every patriot,” Tusk explained. He added that “there is no longer any room for serious warnings about real threats from Russia, and when they open their mouths, they are more likely to talk about how bad Ukraine is.”As the head of the Polish government noted, for Russia, there is no better scenario than the division of Poland.“I make a promise here, before you and before Poland as a whole. During these two years ahead of us (...) I will do everything possible to stabilize the situation in Poland,” the Prime Minister concluded.Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte emphasized the need to strengthen the North Atlantic Alliance and cooperate with the Indo-Pacific region in the face of the threat from Russia.
