Russian combined attack strikes Kyiv high-rises, killing and injuring civilians

Cars were on fire at one of the sites. No reports of casualties had been received."The Russians continue to strike, we now have information on five locations in the Solomianskyi district. A fire broke out at an educational institution, cars are burning, and debris fell onto the 9th floor of a residential building," he wrote at 12:03 a.m.At 12:06 a.m., a fire was reported in an apartment on the 5th floor in the Solomianskyi district. Information about casualties is being clarified.As of 12:32 a.m., Vitali Klitschko reported that medics were called to the Solomianskyi district.“Damage or fires caused by the Russian attack have been recorded at six locations in the Solomianskyi district and one in the Sviatoshynskyi district. The attack on the capital is ongoing. Do not leave shelters,” he wrote at 12:42 a.m.At 12:45 a.m., it was reported that one person was hospitalized in the Solomianskyi district of the capital.“As of 01:00 a.m., we have about ten locations affected by the enemy attack. The enemy is striking civilian infrastructure with attack drones. The Solomianskyi district has suffered the most,” Tkachenko reported.In the Solomianskyi district, the following incidents were recorded:Fire in a multi-story residential buildingFire outbreak near a residential buildingFire in an educational institutionWarehouses and several non-residential buildings burning at various addressesDebris from drones fell in two locations — near a building and onto a carAt 01:40 a.m., the head of the Regional Military Administration reported that the number of injured had risen to four, including a mother and child.Later, information emerged about five wounded.At 02:13 a.m., Tymur Tkachenko reported that the number of injured had increased to six.At 05:08 a.m., Tkachenko reported the consequences of the missile attack on Kyiv: “Damage in the Shevchenkivskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts. Residential buildings.”At 05:16 a.m., Vitali Klitschko said medics were called to the Sviatoshynskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.“In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a blast wave shattered windows in the children's wing of a medical facility. No casualties,” he added.At 05:29 a.m., the mayor reported that a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district had been damaged as a result of the Russian attack on the capital.As of 05:55 a.m., Tymur Tkachenko reported that a house and a car were on fire in the Holosiivskyi district due to a missile strike.In the Sviatoshynskyi and Solomianskyi districts, residential buildings were hit.In the Shevchenkivskyi district, windows in an apartment building were damaged and cars were burned.The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv showed the aftermath of the Russian attack on the capital.As of 06:09 a.m., Vitali Klitschko reported that a section of a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district had been destroyed. Emergency services were working at the scene. Fires also broke out in several non-residential buildings.In the Solomianskyi district, apartments in several buildings were damaged. Cars caught fire. There were also fires and damage at multiple non-residential sites.In the Holosiivskyi district, buildings were damaged, including a school and a kindergarten.In the Shevchenkivskyi district, the blast wave shattered windows in the children's wing of a medical facility.“At present, 20 city residents are known to have been injured. Ambulance crews continue working at the scenes,” Klitschko added.President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy showed the aftermath of Russia’s missile strike on the capital.As of 06:27 a.m., Kyiv Regional Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko reported that the number of injured in Kyiv had risen to 27 according to preliminary data.Vitali Klitschko also confirmed the number of injured at 27, noting that 17 of them were hospitalized.At 06:37 a.m., information emerged that rescuers had recovered the body of a deceased woman.Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, reported that among the injured in the capital were three police officers who were responding to a call.As of 06:54 a.m., Vitali Klitschko reported that the number of injured in Kyiv had risen to 43.“26 of them have been hospitalized in the city’s medical facilities,” he added.Ten minutes later, information appeared reporting 48 injured, with 29 in hospitals.At 07:05 a.m., Tymur Tkachenko announced a second fatality from the Russian attack.By 07:13 a.m., Tkachenko reported that the combined Russian attack had affected more than 27 locations in Kyiv.“We have 52 injured, nearly 30 hospitalized. Among them are 9 children. Unfortunately, the number will likely rise. Two Kyiv residents died as a result of a targeted strike by Russian terrorists. This is also probably not the final count. We are currently focusing on saving lives and organizing aid,” the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration added.By 07:42 a.m., Tymur Tkachenko reported 6 dead.“Four of them are in the Sviatoshynskyi district, two in Solomianskyi. Among the dead is a six-year-old boy. The rescue operation continues,” Tkachenko said.As of 08:51 a.m., Vitali Klitschko reported that people may still be trapped under the rubble of a residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi district, and rescue efforts are ongoing.He also added that help centers have been set up in the city to assist all those affected.Poltava regionAs reported by the head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, Volodymyr Kohut, debris from a Russian drone fell in the Kremenchuk district, causing a fire in an outbuilding.“The blast wave damaged a private house. According to the State Emergency Service, the fire has been extinguished. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” the head of the administration added.Dnipropetrovsk regionAccording to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Russian troops attacked the Pavlohrad district of Dnipropetrovsk region during the night. Rescuers extinguished fires that broke out at agricultural and transport enterprises.
