Fake Russian videos claim capture of Ukrainian villages to impress Kremlin

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this.To this end, Russian occupiers send small groups carrying Russian flags to bypass the positions of Ukrainian defenders. According to the agency, some of them manage to infiltrate individual settlements and shoot short videos that allegedly confirm the “capture” of the territory.Such videos are used for “victory” reports to the Kremlin leadership and dissemination in the media in order to put pressure on Ukrainian society.The day before, the Russians released another such video from the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove.The video shows fighters from the Russian Volunteer Corps within the Timur Special Unit of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate and soldiers from the 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade demonstrating the real situation in the village.As of the morning of August 15, the Russian army had advanced in three settlements in the direction of the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk region.
