The lawmaker announced this on Facebook.According to the explanatory note, the draft resolution proposes to make changes to the administrative-territorial structure of Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Luhansk, and Kharkiv regions by transferring the unoccupied territories of Kramatorsk and Bakhmut districts of Donetsk region, as well as Svatove and Severodonetsk districts of Luhansk region to Kharkiv region, and transferring the unoccupied territories of Volnovakha and Pokrovsk districts of Donetsk region to Dnipropetrovsk region. The politician considers these changes important. In her opinion, maintaining the Donetsk and Luhansk regional state administrations requires significant funds from the state budget."First, we must act exclusively in the interests of our people and give them a guarantee: these territories will remain Ukrainian. Second, maintaining the Luhansk and Donetsk regional administrations costs the state over 50 million hryvnias monthly. These are irrational expenses, as their functions can be effectively performed by Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions," Skorokhod explained."This step will allow us to both protect our citizens and save budget funds. Now we'll see who and how in parliament will support this initiative," she added. The document is to be reviewed by the committee on organization of state power, local self-government, regional development, and urban planning.Last week, Russia's Foreign Ministry stated that Russia will not give up the occupied territories in four regions of Ukraine.
