The Center for Countering Disinformation reported the information. One of the largest and oldest companies in the sector — the rocket and space corporation Energia — has admitted it is on the brink of collapse. Its head, Ihor Maltsev, directly spoke of a “critical situation,” multimillion-dollar debts, loss of staff motivation, and the threat of the corporation’s closure. In addition, the private holding SR Space, which not long ago promised a revolution in light launch vehicles and satellite constellations, has officially been declared bankrupt.“Due to sanctions, Russia has effectively lost access to critical Western technologies, and space launches for foreign clients have nearly stopped. Russia can no longer compete with key players such as the U.S. and China. In wartime, space has become a secondary priority for the Kremlin, with the main resources consumed by the military and armaments. The myth of Russia as a ‘major space power’ is gradually collapsing: the industry is degrading, losing personnel, technologies, and prospects,” the Center for Countering Disinformation added.
