Zelenskyy: Drones from Hungary likely violated Ukraine’s airspace

He made the statement following a military meeting.“The Commander-in-Chief reported on recent drone incidents along the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. Ukrainian forces recorded reconnaissance drones entering our airspace, and these are likely Hungarian drones. Preliminary data suggest they may have been gathering intelligence on industrial potential in Ukrainian border regions. I instructed an immediate review of all available information and prompt reports on every confirmed case,” Zelenskyy said.The meeting was attended by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Andrii Hnatov, Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa.Zelenskyy also discussed the battlefield situation, highlighting the progress of the Dobropillia counteroffensive.“Special attention was given to the Dobropillia counteroffensive operation. As of this morning, since the start of the operation, 168.8 km² of territory have already been liberated and another 187.7 km² cleared of Russian sabotage groups. Russian losses in this operation alone total nearly 3,000 personnel, most of them irrecoverable. Our exchange fund for Ukraine continues to grow. I thank all our units involved in the operation,” the president stated.On September 24, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said Budapest would not stop buying oil from Russia, even if U.S. President Donald Trump personally requested it.
