Acting chief of staff of the 13th brigade of the National Guard Khartiya, Mel, said on Espreso.“Our unit holds the line of defense on the Kharkiv axis. We have kept the situation under control here for quite some time. At this stage the enemy is trying to reallocate its forces to replenish losses at the frontline and to continue active operations. But our units and forces always anticipate this, so we give them no chance. They use new tactics — they are not new to us, but we notice them. First, they use heat-masking covers that isolate human heat, making them less visible to us. Second, they operate in small, isolated groups. The same applies to their frontline supply: they use teams of one, two or three servicemen,” he said. The serviceman noted that before bad weather the Russians try most of all to pull their forces forward.“The enemy’s strategy is fairly clear. They strike with artillery and other fire systems. They pull up forces and try to push through one of our lines of defense from some direction. On our axis they constantly receive reinforcements; our intelligence gathers information and we understand which specific units get reinforcements and for what purposes. The enemy never sleeps; he is constantly planning offensives — also for winter — but we must understand that winter will make things much harder. Right now is the period when he most tries to pull his forces forward. But he has not abandoned thoughts of advancing on the Kharkiv axis. Reinforcements are arriving,” added the acting chief of staff of the 13th brigade of the National Guard Khartiya.
