Zelenskyy denies existence of any agreed "12-point peace plan"

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said there is no agreed peace plan between Ukraine and its allies, insisting that, as president, he has not seen any such document and that any further work on a peace settlement must involve the United States.

Quote: "The important thing here is whether I, as president of Ukraine, have seen this plan. I have not. I think that answers all questions. There are various European ideas and proposals for a peaceful settlement."
Details: Zelenskyy also expressed surprise at reports suggesting that Russia is taking part in negotiations under this supposed plan.
"It is strange to hear that Russia is at the negotiating table, since so far no European leader or the president of the US has been able to make Russia sit down for talks," he said.
Zelenskyy also noted that any further work on a peace settlement must involve the United States, since a transition to the diplomatic stage is not currently possible without its political and military support. He added that consultations among advisers are ongoing and various discussions are underway, but there is still no clear or agreed plan.
Background: On 21 October, Bloomberg reported, citing informed sources, that European countries are working with Ukraine on a 12-point proposal aimed at ending Russia's war along the current front lines.
