Five people killed and 19 injured in Russian combined strike on Kyiv – video

Five people have been killed and another 19 injured in a Russian nighttime strike on the city of Kyiv.

Details: Klymenko said the combined Russian attack had resulted in both fatalities and injuries.
Quote from Klymenko: "The most severe aftermath was recorded in Shevchenkivskyi district. An entire section of a residential high-rise building has been destroyed. As of now, four people are confirmed to have been killed. State Emergency Service workers have rescued 10 affected individuals. Everyone is receiving medical and psychological treatment. Rubble is being cleared. Our data indicates that there are still people trapped under the rubble."
Updated : Klitschko reported at 07:27 that the death toll had risen to five.
"Five people were killed in the building in the Shevchenkivskyi district as a result of the enemy attack on the capital.
In total, 19 people have been injured in the city. Eight of them are being treated in municipal hospitals," he wrote.
Klitschko added that rescue workers are operating at the damaged building and medical personnel are on standby.

Details: Shevchenkivskyi, Podilskyi, Holosiivskyi, Sviatoshynskyi, Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi districts came under the attack.
Quote from the State Emergency Service: "Work to deal with the aftermath of the nighttime strike on the city is ongoing. All the appropriate services are operating. The information is being confirmed."
Background:
- Russian forces conducted another large-scale attack on Kyiv on the night of 22-23 June. Residential buildings, a business centre, a metro station and other facilities were damaged in different parts of the capital.
- Klitschko reported that five people had been injured in the nighttime combined Russian attack.
