Vladyslav Vlasiuk, the President of Ukraine’s Commissioner for Sanctions Policy, stated this, according to Suspilne.According to him, the increase in Russian weapons production has become possible thanks to supplies from China. Kyiv informs Beijing about these facts but does not receive any response regarding the cessation of exports.“China respects sanctions, including Ukrainian ones. After Ukraine imposes them, our partners may take similar steps,” the official said.Vlasiuk noted that even sanctions from a limited number of countries can make Chinese companies “toxic”—meaning that other countries would not want to cooperate with them. In his opinion, this could either make it impossible or significantly limit the supply of components to the Russian military-industrial complex.He also emphasized that Russia has already significantly reduced its use of parts from Europe and the United States—mainly due to the current sanctions imposed by partner countries. In addition, Vlasiuk reported that as part of the 18th package of sanctions being prepared by the European Union, restrictions are planned against two Chinese banks.“In the future, Ukraine will ask international partners to impose sanctions against all manufacturers and suppliers of critical components, materials, and production means,” the official concluded.Ukraine's Security Service discovered Chinese-made components in the drones with which the Russian army attacked Kyiv on the night of July 4.
