This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, according to the General Staff. It’s noted that in June, the Russian army tried to shake Ukraine’s defense, ramped up the number and intensity of attacks, and attempted to stretch the line of combat contact.According to Syrskyi, Ukraine’s goal was to stabilize the situation and hold back Russian troops in the most threatening areas, mainly the northeast, Dobropillia, Pokrovsk, and Novopavlivka, where Russian forces are focusing their main efforts, have the largest troop buildup, and significantly outnumber Ukraine in strength and equipment.“So, during June, the defenders of Ukraine carried out 115 fire missions in the DeepStrike direction. Our artillery hit 2,864 enemy targets,” the commander-in-chief said.He added that Russia increased the number of air-launched weapons, missiles and drones, over Ukrainian territory by 1.6 times in one month. At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Forces struck about 4,000 targets. One of Ukraine’s current priorities is to strengthen and improve the air defense system.“Given the instability of the international situation, we’re looking for new ways to get and buy weapons and military equipment, expand repair capacity, and upgrade extra protection elements. A key demand is to develop strike drones, which help make up for part of the shortage in artillery shells,” he added.
