Ukraine's Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CCD) reports.Russian propaganda is circulating a video in which a Russian soldier claims to have found mined children’s and household items supposedly left behind by Ukrainian forces during their retreat from the Kursk region. However, there is confusion regarding his call sign, as some Russian sources refer to him as "Ishim," while others call him "Emil" or "Hermes."The CCD asserts that there is no evidence, expert analysis, or other testimony regarding the video. The confusion about the call signs only suggests the staged nature of the footage."Such disinformation is part of Russia’s systematic campaign. In this way, Russia seeks to demonize the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the eyes of the international community, divert attention from Russia’s mass missile attacks on Ukrainian cities, and create the illusion of ‘protecting’ the civilian population of Russia," the message reads. On July 10, the CCD reported that Moscow plans to enhance its foreign influence through the renewal of the Rossotrudnichestvo network. Rossotrudnichestvo is the network of Russian institutions tasked with whitewashing Russia's image abroad through cultural diplomacy, sometimes in combination with spying operations. Rossotrudnichestvo has multiple offices abroad, the so-called “Russian Houses”, located across the globe.
