He made this statement on the program Pikk Extra, published on the Magyar Nemzet YouTube channel, as reported by Origo."You cannot give speeches about Ukraine’s suitability for EU membership and then, the next day, bury people who are beaten to death during forced conscription," the Hungarian Prime Minister emphasized.He added that the Hungarian government allegedly has information about cases where ethnic Hungarians were forcibly taken into the army. According to him, the Hungarian authorities know how many people have died and how many have been left orphaned, and they are providing assistance to them.Orbán stressed that since this concerns citizens of Hungary, which is an EU member, "we are knocking on Brussels’ door" and demanding action against the practice of forced conscription in Ukraine.Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated that U.S. President Donald Trump's peace efforts could have been much more successful, but were allegedly hindered by European and Ukrainian leaders.
