Vadym Denysenko, head of the analytical center Dzerkalo Stolytsi (Business Capital), stated this on Espreso TV.“There will be no negotiations regarding a ceasefire. The most the parties can discuss are humanitarian aspects: the return of children, the exchange of prisoners, and the return of bodies. That’s it. No other topics—well, perhaps some additional humanitarian issues might be added,” he said.In his opinion, there will be no topics related to a ceasefire, a halt to hostilities, or even a truce for 15 days—nothing of the sort.“Therefore, I have, let’s say, no expectations from this round of negotiations at all,” Denysenko noted. The analyst was asked whether the Americans would be monitoring the negotiations.“Globally, it doesn’t matter at all, because everyone understands that these negotiations are absolutely interim and have no real basis to say that the Russians are starting to change their rhetoric. Of course, I would very much like to be wrong, but it is unlikely that today we will hear that Russia has a new point of view and is abandoning the previous demands they voiced a month ago in the same Istanbul. So, from my point of view, there are definitely no particular expectations at this point,” Denysenko concluded.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a meeting with the Russian side in Turkey is planned for July 23. The Ukrainian delegation at the talks will be headed by Rustem Umerov. On Wednesday, July 23, before the negotiations with Russia in Istanbul, the Ukrainian delegation met in Ankara with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
