Latvia blocks 10 more Russian propaganda sites

This was reported by LSM.Latvia started blocking propaganda sites in 2022. As of now, 413 are on the list.The Council says the content on these sites goes against Latvia’s national security interests. It includes justifications for Russia’s war against Ukraine, praise for the occupation, and media support for the aggressor."The content varies. Mostly, it’s articles pretending to explain the situation but actually defending the war. Some sites also post calls to join the army and fight in Ukraine," said council member Ieva Kalderauska.According to the Council, if these pages weren’t blocked, they’d reach 40,000 to 68,000 viewers each month. Attempts to access the blocked sites still hit around 500,000 per month.Earlier, Latvia’s National Electronic Mass Media Council (NEPLP) also blocked 7 more websites promoting Russian propaganda.
