Yurii Kostyuchenko, co-founder of UBOS.tech, member of the AI Club at IT STEP University, and AI implementation expert, said this on Espreso TV.“Deepfake technologies have become widely accessible. It doesn’t have to be a government agency — it can be an ordinary person who takes an audio track and video of someone, creates a deepfake, and spreads it for a certain purpose,” Kostiuchenko said.According to the expert, artificial intelligence technologies are developing so rapidly that a person can already create a visual avatar that communicates in real time. Soon, there will come a time when people won’t even be able to visually distinguish whether they are interacting with a real person or artificial intelligence. This may not happen very soon, but it is inevitable.“How to protect yourself from this? For ordinary people, it’s so-called eyeball verification. We watch videos, evaluate their quality: maybe there is a watermark, intentionally reduced image quality to hide facial or speech imperfections, or unnatural speech. Such content is already being created and will continue to be created. We need to learn to recognize it,” Kostiuchenko added.Russian propagandists are spreading a fake video created using artificial intelligence in which a Ukrainian soldier supposedly talks about problems with contracts 18-24.
