Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief meets UK defense chiefs, awards Admiral Radakin with Cross of Merit

He wrote about this on Facebook.Syrskyi emphasized that these negotiations were further evidence of the effective strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom in the military sphere.“I briefed my colleagues on the operational situation at the front, potential paths for expanding bilateral cooperation, and the immediate needs of the Ukrainian Defence Forces regarding weaponry and military equipment. This includes air defence systems and missiles, artillery systems, MLRS, and others,” said the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
He noted that this was Anthony Radakin's last official visit to Ukraine as the UK's Chief of the Defense Staff."Once again, I express my deep gratitude to him, as well as to the government and the people of the UK, for their immense contribution to the development of Ukraine's defence capabilities, consolidating international support, and military assistance in repelling russian aggression. It was Admiral Tony Radakin who, over these four years, served as the leading advocate for providing Ukraine with lethal weapons, starting with the delivery of 2,000 NLAW anti-tank missile systems on the eve of the full-scale russian invasion," Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized.He also presented Anthony Radakin with the highest award of the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces – the Cross of Merit Honorary Badge.
“I am confident that British support for Ukraine will remain as unwavering with the new Chief of the Defence Staff – Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton,” Syrskyi concluded.
