MP Mykola Kniazhytskyi said this on Espreso TV, commenting on Putin’s statement that Moscow is allegedly ready to respond to “any strategic threats” from the West not with words but with “military-technical measures.”“I think he means: you’ll face the same if you help Poland now instead of Ukraine. Clearly, he is using what he sees as Trump’s weakness, because after every meeting he escalates the use of weapons against Ukraine, and now not only against Ukraine but also NATO countries. I understand he believes the United States has effectively blessed such behavior,” Kniazhytskyi said.The MP stressed that if Putin were restrained in any way, he would act differently.“That’s why he threatens other countries. He threatens, but now also tries to reach an agreement with Trump. He is a rabid aggressor — that’s how all führers behave. Nothing new in his rhetoric. But we expected something different from the rhetoric and stance of the United States — and we still do, because we are very interested in this alliance. Unfortunately, the U.S. remains silent,” Kniazhytskyi concluded.
