Colonel Vladyslav Saienko, the deputy commander of the Spartan Brigade, stated this on Espreso TV."The Russian troops are constantly transferring additional reserves to the Donetsk region. Their units that were in the Sumy direction are constantly being moved to the Donetsk region. They are doing this to increase the intensity of their offensive actions. Their further attempts to advance do not stop, and therefore they are trying to build up their forces and resources," said Saienko. The colonel added that due to the large number of personnel, the Russian forces are still managing to advance in certain sections of the front, although these advances are not significant."Regarding their plans, they failed to fulfill the plans they had for the summer offensive operation and the beginning of autumn. The Ukrainian Armed Forces worked very effectively to disrupt these plans. It is worth noting that with the number of personnel and resources they have, they still have some success in certain areas, although not significant," he added. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that since the beginning of Thursday, October 2, there have been 102 combat clashes on the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 27 enemy attacks.
