Petro Andriushchenko, head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, said on Espreso. “Russians are trying to move in a way that will cause maximum trouble to the city of Zaporizhzhia and civilians and to arrange there a terror comparable to what they arranged in Kherson. As far as I know, they have already begun evacuation drills in certain districts of Zaporizhzhia. That means the Zaporizhzhia authorities have rethought their position, because not long ago they said this issue was not on the agenda,” Andriushchenko said.According to the head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, if you recall last week — when the occupiers delivered terrible strikes on Zaporizhzhia every day using all available means: drones, aerial bombs, ballistic missiles — Zaporizhia residents really do need to prepare.“I don’t want to alarm people, but I would advise those who can leave for a while to wait out the active phase of this Russian autumn offensive. Because the main task of the Russians is to destabilize the situation through terror of Zaporizhzhia’s civilian population. That means constant shelling, and that is indeed a threat. We need to do something and think about what we can offer civilians to keep them as safe as possible,” Andriushchenko stressed. From the start of Thursday, 2 October, there have been 102 combat engagements on the Russian–Ukrainian front. On the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 27 enemy attacks.
