Priest's 2-year-old son found at site of Russian strike in Donetsk Oblast: his father and grandfather injured

A two-year-old boy, the son of a priest, has been found at the site of a Russian strike on a church in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, which killed two people and injured four – his mother died in last week's Russian strike.

Quote from the police : "Law enforcement officers found a two-year-old boy at the site of the attack. The child was in the burning city with his father, a priest. The boy's mother was killed by an enemy strike last week."

Details : The police specified that two men, aged 49 and 56, were killed as a result of the FAB-250 bomb strike on the church grounds. Two men, aged 47 and 74, and two women, aged 56 and 62, were injured. The younger woman is in a serious condition, her arm was severed.
Vadym Filashkin said that the father and grandfather of the two-year-old boy were injured. The child was evacuated to Kramatorsk.
"Staying with a child a few kilometres from the front line is the height of irresponsibility!" he commented.

For reference : The mandatory evacuation of families with children from Kostiantynivka was announced back in the summer of 2024.
Background : On Saturday, the Russians launched an airstrike on the territory of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Kostiantynivka, killing two people and injuring four others.
