Zelenskyy tells Canadian PM about his conversation with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a telephone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, during which they touched on Zelenskyy's conversation with US President Donald Trump.

Details: Zelensky noted that he and Carney "shared details of our contacts with President Trump".
"I informed him about the situation on the battlefield and Russia's vile strikes on our energy infrastructure and people. We discussed specific steps that can help us defend against this and strengthen the resilience of our energy system," the president said.
In addition, Zelenskyy and Carney discussed the PURL programme – the purchase of American weapons for Ukraine at the expense of European NATO allies.
"Canada has already made a significant contribution, and there is potential to expand its involvement in the programme. We also discussed our joint work with partners within the Coalition of the Willing. The practical side of this format will be strengthened. We coordinated our next steps," Zelenskyy added.
Background: On 11 October, Zelenskyy spoke with Trump by phone. According to media reports, one of the topics of conversation was the possibility of Ukraine obtaining Tomahawk long-range missiles.
