Danylo Borysenko, the head of intelligence of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery division of the Rubizh Brigade, stated this on Espreso TV."Our positions are not continuous and dense, as people are used to seeing in movies about World War II or World War I. Today, there is no such thing as a continuous line of trenches or dugouts. Now, the line of contact is a collection of firing or observation positions, which are often located at a great distance from each other. And this allows the enemy in some cases to slip between these positions and move into our rear to accumulate their manpower there for further actions," commented the serviceman.According to him, this is how the Russian army is trying to penetrate into Pokrovsk. While most of the Russian soldiers are detected and destroyed, a certain percentage of enemy infantry is successful in such advances. Consequently, they try to gain a foothold, using every building as a firing position or shelter."Search-and-destroy operations take a lot of time to find and eliminate the enemy. However, it cannot be said that Russia has already accumulated enough forces in Pokrovsk to hold the occupied positions. Our Defense Forces, all units involved in the defense of Pokrovsk, are doing everything possible and impossible to inflict maximum damage on the occupiers. The enemy's losses in this direction are the largest on the entire front. Although this is not stopping the invaders much yet, we are making efforts to work even better and destroy as many of the enemy forces as possible," summarized Danylo Borysenko.Firefights are intensifying in Pokrovsk, causing heavy Russian losses. Since the start of the month, Ukrainian forces have killed 314 soldiers and wounded 71.
