Ukraine is in negotiations with Poland over a potential €120 million loan to purchase weapons made by Polish defense manufacturers, Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said in an interview with Ukrinform, as reported by European Pravda.According to Sybiha, the issue was raised during his recent meeting with Poland’s foreign minister, where Kyiv expressed interest in acquiring several Polish-made systems under a targeted financing deal.He cited the Piorun man-portable air defense systems and Krab self-propelled howitzers — both of which have proven effective on the battlefield — as examples of equipment Ukraine hopes to acquire.“Obviously, a country at war can never have enough weapons,” Sybiha said. “That’s why we’re also discussing the possibility of co-production — both in Ukraine and Poland. It’s a shared interest, a mutually beneficial one, and an investment in our common future.”On July 26, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that, according to NATO and U.S. estimates, Russia could be ready for confrontation with the West as early as 2027, and Poland is likely to be the first target on this path.
