For the next three months, the Czech capital will host an exhibition of unique artifacts documenting the crimes of the Russian Federation against the Ukrainian people. This was shared with Espreso by the organizers. For three months, the exhibition "War. Made in Russia. Artifacts of the Russian-Ukrainian War" (Válka. Vyrobeno v Rusku. Artefakty rusko-ukrajinské války) will be on display in the center of Prague, near the Parliament building. It features 25 unique artifacts that document the systematic crimes of the Russian Federation against the Ukrainian people, beginning with the illegal annexation of Crimea and the occupation of part of Donbas in 2014.
The Pylyp Orlyk Foundation, together with the Ukrainian Institute in Prague and the World War II Museum in Kyiv, organized the exhibition to highlight Russia’s genocidal war against Ukraine. The exhibition also includes reproductions from the collection of the Museum of the Ukrainian Liberation Struggle in Prague, which operated between 1925 and 1945, as well as photographs by Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberovy.
"This exhibition is about objects. Ordinary and extraordinary. With traces of blood, shrapnel, burned flesh, water and fire. About the body armor of a combat medic who saved lives until her last breath. About the helmet of a Ukrainian pilot found among the wreckage of a downed helicopter. About an icon that survived the shelling of a wooden church. About a book on imperial madness that burned in a fire after a Russian strike. About a children's toy covered in blood in an operating room, and a water bottle dropped from a drone that saved children during the flooding on the occupied left bank of the Dnipro," the co-organizers explained. At the official opening, international criminal investigator Vladimír Dzuro emphasized that the exhibition is a reminder of what war means for ordinary people — suffering, pain, and death.
"The recent attacks by the Russian aggressor on civilian buildings in Ukraine, which resulted in the deaths of dozens and serious injuries to hundreds of civilians, should finally wake up the world's political elites. The killing of civilians is a war crime," he noted. An important part of the event was the presentation of the global initiative #unrussiaUN, aimed at expelling Russia from the United Nations. Those present not only signed a petition to expel Russia from the UN, but also promised to spread the #unrussiaUN initiative among partners around the world.
