Ruslan Muzychuk, spokesperson for the National Guard of Ukraine, shared the information on the TV channel We-Ukraine.According to him, both sides actively use drones along the entire front line. In addition to FPV and kamikaze drones, combat drones are also employed, including those connected via fiber optic cables - many of these are in the Kharkiv region near Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, and Pokrovsk.Muzychuk noted that these drones primarily serve to halt the Russian advance rather than destroy enemy equipment.“The number of FPV drones is two to three times greater than enemy personnel losses because armored vehicles are no longer being destroyed. Drones are used to create a so-called kill zone - preventing the enemy from reaching our positions or key points where they try to secure themselves and regroup,” he said.In January, Ukraine's Main Directorate of Defense Innovations conducted a demonstration test of fiber-optic cable-controlled FPV drones for representatives of the Ukrainian forces' command. In July, Ukrainian Minister of Digital Transformation announced that the range of Ukrainian fiber-optic drones increased from 20 to over 40 km.
