General Ihor Romanenko, founder of the Charitable Foundation Safe Skies over Ukraine and former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (2006–2010), shared this information on Espreso TV."The first stage of the Russian Armed Forces' strategic offensive operation within the 2025 campaign is coming to an end. It is being conducted using the resources Russia accumulated by the end of 2024 and over the winter of 2024–2025.However, the next phase, this summer and fall, will be the most challenging for us. According to intelligence, Russia is preparing up to 13 divisions for this period. And their preparations involve not only personnel but also weapons and ammunition. If they manage to concentrate all 13 divisions in one or two directions, it could pose a serious threat to the situation on the front," Romanenko warned.According to General Romanenko, Putin is determined to continue the war until he achieves his imperial ambitions, which is why Ukraine must stop Russia's advance on its territory.“To fight effectively, we need the appropriate means of destruction. War follows objective laws defined by actions, not slogans. That’s why the key factor is the availability of weapons and equipment from our allies, primarily the United States, as they can supply us with systems that are currently unavailable from other partners,” Romanenko emphasized. “In particular, we’re talking about Patriot systems and other high-precision, high-tech weaponry. At the same time, our defense industry continues to operate in parallel, albeit under extremely difficult conditions.”U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated after meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that Russia had offered a “new and different approach” to resolving the war against Ukraine — though he did not specify what that approach entails.
